Approximately 7 years ago, I was walking with my parents and my two kids along the beach at our family cottage. During our walk, we met a new family on the beach the next bay over. Beautiful family, their children were just a couple years younger than our children.
As we chatted, he was happily telling us about their plans for their new cottage property. This family had purchased a property with a much older cottage that was in dire need of updating or rebuilding. We questioned how he was able to do this and was given permission – given the creek that went through the property and knowing our experience with the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and all of their rules. We were told they got a lawyer and with money, you can essentially do anything…
Today is my birthday, I have found as I get older, wiser, I feel even more aligned within MY truth and knowing. The reminder for me today… the importance of each of us living our own truth, regardless of what anyone else is doing.
Why is this key?
Its far too “easy” to fall into the comparison game.
