Years ago while our son was doing homework, he had music playing and I remember calling down to him to turn it off so he could “focus better”. This was one of my revelations that we ALL learn so differently. Our son told me he can focus better WITH the music on.
It didn’t take me long to know exactly what he meant by that. As soon as he told me that I heard myself say, YES that is so true! I told my son to do what he needed to do to feel productive. When I listen to pod casts or you tube videos or music while working – whether at work or home, it goes by so fast and I feel so productive!
Listening to Kim and Jamie Fitzpatrick’s new pod cast – The Fitzlife Unfiltered. In their 2nd podcast, I understood better why I had an energetic pull to them and more specifically me to Kim, SO many similarities in our lives even the age difference between the the ladies and men, 8 years LOL!
What stood out to me in their 2nd episode, as they talked about when Jamie had a cardiac arrest and Kim said – Your Pain Matters. Regardless of when the pain happened.
I am truly grateful for this reminder. As, well we have all been through some form of pain in each of our lives. No one can judge the pain one person has and determine that their pain is more than anyone elses. All of our lives are different and our feelings matter.
I wanted to share this reminder, because its never been more true for so many of us right now. Navigating the truths of our lives and understanding that we do not need anyone else to validate how we are feeling OR what we know is truth in our heart.
Your pain matters – regardless of what that pain is, who you are, where you live, what colour your skin is or your state of your health. If you are IN pain – that is enough validation to lean in to YOU and do what YOU need to honor that pain and be able to move freely again.
