Holistic Health | Broken Bones & Skin Healing

I am truly grateful when we require the assistance of our modern medical system in Canada. In the past 5+ years we have required this care a small number of times. Those occasions were mainly due to broken bones or sprains. When my husband fell back in October, he not only had broken bones, he also required surgery.

Once we got him home and I was able to assist with his healing journey we instantly got the oils out to do their work in supporting his healing process and body.

His break and incisions were covered for the first two weeks so we focused on using the oils on his back. Knowing the oily benefits would get to where they needed to be.

I began supporting his healing process with the Symphony of Cells Inflammation Protocol. Knowing what his body had been through, the required healing and seeing how swollen his leg was. I applied the oils on his back every other day for the first week and a half.

We found this protocol to be successfully supportive to his healing and the inflammation that was currently in his body.

After about 6 weeks there was still 1 spot on his leg that wasn’t closing up. The home care who was coming once or twice a week, had iodine patches that they put on this spot to assist in its healing (that pulled the scab off every time it was changed). I honestly held myself back. I allowed myself to “trust” in the medical system to help him heal. It was after 6 weeks when I suggested I make up our own spray to see if that would help the spot heal… My husband was open to this, knowing how powerful Helichrysum is, which I would be adding into the blend. I sprayed this mixture on his ankle and leg and the bleeding stopped. It started slightly with movement, because of where the apot was, however we did not use the iodine patches anymore. As home care only came 1-2 times a week we were cleaning and changing the dressing at least 1-2 days and the healing was profound!

Not only did the spot close up and begin to heal, the rest of his leg also benefitted and the skin began healing even better!

The oils I used in the spray were Helichrysum, Tea Tree, Frankincense and Lavender. Topped off with fractionated coconut oil. All oils supportive to the skin and healing. Also all natural and recognizable to the body. (Pictured is the Helichrysum touch, for the blend I used the undiluted oil.)

What if in 2021, we all began trusting ourselves first?!

Yes modern medicine plays a part in helping us get back to where we previously were or fighting an illness. However, what if there weren’t any ingredients that were allowed to be in our various products, which cause these illnesses. Or what if we relief more on plant medicine to holistically shape our wellness, first in our homes. To step away from needing a manufactured “pill” to make us feel better or reduce symptoms. What if for 2021 we all learned that our best health is getting to the root of the issue and aligning with what our body truly needs.

My husband required quite extensive surgery, obviously that is something that couldn’t have been fixed at home. There quite obviously is a time and place for modern medicine, such as broken bones, which to be honest is pretty much the only reason we have entered a medical clinic or hospital (apart from a loved one being there) in many, many many years. True healing takes a look at the big picture, which is what we facilitated in our home with my husband’s healing.

Why? Because I know first hand the power of nature’s medicine, the power of holistic healthcare. How easily our body recognizes nature and it all “works” together.

I honestly can see within 2021 even more people taking this leap to true health freedom. To know that they have the power to KNOW. That no single “treatment” will work the same for every single person, because we and our lifestyles are ALL different. True health care embodies the mind, heart and soul.

I am grateful for the tools we have in our home and also to trusting my inner self to follow what I knew was right, for my own health to influence and model the success for my own family.
