For many years I was that woman who put her man and children before herself. Even before the children were around. I, for some reason, had a difficult time spending time and money on myself.
Why, as Women do we do that to ourselves? Many of us put the needs of others before ourselves. I can now proudly say I realize how valuable of an investment I am to myself, my husband, my children, family, friends, co-workers, my doTERRA family etc!
Investing in myself – also with something that is “against the grain” was challenging as well for me – BUT it was the best thing I did in my life.
Plus in less than a year Ive lost and successfully kept off over 35lbs – that YES I lost naturally!
Because I invested in myself!
I pushed our budget, back in June 2014 to make room to buy my first kit – I then “found” money in our budget to begin expanding our collection of oils every month. I later shifted that “found” money into our regular monthly order to be able to take the supplements. I now have allocated a portion of our grocery money to this “found” money for our monthly doTERRA budget. I began educating my family on what these oils can do and why its better for us.

For years I pushed it aside, I was very naive about what is in many common products. Being in our family business which is dedicated to home comfort and knowing the quality of the products we provide and have in our home – I began to finally believe with that attitude for myself – if our home is worth having a high quality top of the line furnace, doors and windows so we are comfortable and that are energy efficient – of course our bodies and minds deserve top quality products to use for our health which over time is going to support our body in repair and optimally feeling at our best!
But I didn’t know. I honestly did not know how these products I was using (before) was actually having a negative effect on my health and my household.
I am a happier, healthier and stronger woman because I have invested in myself.
My husband and children are healthier – our household is healthier. By me “making room” in our budget – I opened up the door to the better health options I was needing so badly.
These products are healthier, more natural, safe for our bodies, decent priced, delivered to my door and I receive points back for being a loyal customer.
In January when I began my first cleanse we as a family gave up buying (and me eating) boxed “convenience” foods. A personal choice that has positively contributed to my weight loss success. Yes it takes more planning – but you know what I feel so much better AND the food tastes soooo good!
What is your health and home worth to you?
Are you willing to spend the money to eat out everyday or purchase coffee’s multiple times a day, perhaps to go shopping to buy more clothes or shoes. The bathroom stocked with multiple pain medication and a variety of over the counter meds.
Yup – that used to be me… The impact this change has had on my life is incredible. Even for my husband who does not have invisible illnesses like me, the oils and products have improved his life as well as mine and our children’s.
