This Thanksgiving, much like all others, I love taking some time alone to reflect on the past year and get out with my camera and enjoy the beautiful community we are so blessed to live in!
I shared a personal story on Facebook this weekend and I am also going to share it here in my Thanksgiving blog because it is something that completely warmed my heart and filled it with gratitude and thanks.
One early morning earlier this week I asked my lil man to start the diffuser- his choice. After getting ready for work and joining him again in the kitchen I asked which oils he put in… he said “Just one mommy, it’s right there”. At first I was slightly confused, Helichrysum isn’t one I would normally put in our diffuser… which is why I grabbed my Essential Oils and Emotions Book.
As you can see by my photo, the positive emotional properties of Helichrysum are: healed, courageous, hopeful, transformation, perseverance and determination!
My eyes filled with tears.
The night before we received a phone call from our boys teacher. We weren’t home so it went to our answering machine. As my hubby and I listened to the message I began to cry, full out massive tears, cry as I listened to her rave about how amazing he is doing in class and how he’s staying on task and getting his work complete and it’s been a pleasure to have him in her class.
Our boy has had his fair share of hurdles at school, including being bullied himself and completely pulling back and interalizing the pain he was feeling emotionally and physically, resulting in an angry side of our boy we had never seen before.
I will never forget the moment he finally broke free and told me, it was actually a few months after we began our journey with @doterra.
I’ve known in my heart and soul that my choice back in June 2014 was the right one for our family, for our health emotionally and physically. I knew there was an option for us that was all natural and would ‘work’.
This phone call touched me so deep. Almost validating my choices for my family that I had made the right decision and it truly is making a difference, not just in my own life, but also everyone in my family!
He told me, by choosing this single oil for our diffuser that next morning. We’ve taught the kids to follow their intuition, to go with where they are guided and trust it – this is how he chose Helichrysum. Just simply reaching into our oil box and selecting a random oil. It’s not a coincidence. This boy of ours has been so courageous, determined, hopeful and emotionally healed ❤. I am proud to be his mom!
So on this thanksgiving weekend my heart is filled with so much gratitude and blessings.
How thankful am I… well Im very thankful for my family, that we have a beautiful home to live in, good food to eat, amazing family and friends to spend time with, wonderful jobs to provide us financial blessings through life. I am also very thankful for doTERRA as I am now much more thankful for my health than I ever have been!
Today I am also thankful for reaching an amazing milestone of 800 fans on my page! I am absolutely honored, thankful and filled with gratitude! This journey of mine through doTERRA was one I literally walked blind into and has become such an incredible blessing in our lives.
