FODMAP friendly and oh so darn good!!! Really paying attention to serving sizes and respecting them! Ingredients:
2 tbsp Cream Cheese, 1 tbsp Mayo, 1/8 Avacado, 1/3 tomato, 1/3 Red Pepper, 1 slice old cheddar, Taco meat (made with home made pice mix).
SO good!!! Enjoyed with organic corn chips!

I debated back and forth whether or not to be completely transparent... however this is me and this health journey has been like a yo-yo at times! But if its helped me, I know someone else out there could also be helped!
Digestive issues have been a significant part of my life since my teens. So much so that I just adapted to live around these issues and thought the pain and discomfort was normal... its NOT! No one should ever live in pain emotionally or physically... which is how this WILL affect your life.
When I began seeking natural options in 2014, I didn't know "what" I was looking for, but something was pulling me (very strongly) to holistic health options. For years I had tried over the counter options and my body was not a big fan at all!
These past 5 years I've felt my digestive system heal. It was actually amazing for me to feel this. However the next step of this journey is to figure out the various foods that ARE triggers!
After meeting my new gastroenterologist she suggested I try the FODMAP diet... which I will admit my first reaction was "Ok, sure" to her and then tears on the phone to my husband. Change for me isn't easy and this unknown freaked me right out! But sometimes change is the best thing for us!
My Dr suggested continuing what I am doing, taking my supplements, digestive enzymes and probiotics but that food is most likely my biggest trigger... next to stress! Which let's be real, we live in a go-go-go life where social media rules many people. Take it back a step, go with the flow, enjoy life, be happy, peaceful, what needs to get done, will. There is always enough time.
First check in was stress, ironically for the past month my stress level has dropped. I am more in the flow of life and I've made certain things more of a priority. Holistic Health 6 years ago was something that wasnt even on our radar. Albeit deep down I knew my own health was in crisis. I can fully whole heartily admit I was ignorant to my health and ignored it hoping it would just get better. I now know how silly that was.
