Every weekday morning I receive an email between 3-4am from "The Universe Talks". Somedays (about 99% of them) the messages are bang on... just like this mornings! 🙌
I've had my share of ups and downs in life, some quite low, others quite high, becoming a mama, marriage, friendships, renovating our dream home, flood, life in general have all pushed me hard to face some demons in my life, bring light to the shadows and experience a LOT of growth! Now with Covid-19, I've felt many of the past feelings, even some as far as 25 years back. As much as I have felt the feeling of unknown before, this time in our life has also reminded me why it's so important to trust in myself and the process. I said to my husband the other night that I now completely understand why we had a sudden push before Christmas to get the additions moving when our framers and roofers were ready... as stressful as that time felt then, I am SO grateful we leaned in and said ok GO! 🙏 This time in our life where we have all been forced to stay home (seriously there could be so much worse things) we have all been given an opportunity to pour into ourselves and our home living space! Make the most of your TIME in your own space and enjoy 🥰!

I understand this is affecting our economy in a very big and real way. So that aside for the moment. THIS right here is SO true! We need to leave behind the "want" and immediate satisfaction mentality. I think of how much our lives have drastically changed just in my own lifetime... Geez just in the past 20 years... Its time to stop just living the day to day and start actually experiencing life again. SLOW the F down. Enjoy the little things in life like the rain falling, birds chirping, your own space where you live. Ditch the mass of material items we are all collecting and BE! Happiness isn't found in things, its found within. Practice gratitude today... I am SO grateful for our home, for customizing it to us, each one of us and the growth journey this has provided us.
I am grateful to connect digitally with loves ones for friendship, comfort and inspiration.
I am grateful for slow Sunday mornings in bed with my journal, books, tea and husband.
I am SO grateful for the resilience of our kids, they have shown incredible growth themselves during this global pandemic and I am even more proud of them!
I am grateful my husband and I are still working. Albeit we provide an essential service which does heighten my anxiety to ensure we are all kept safe, I am grateful we can still work and protect ourselves. Massive thanks to ALL essential workers!✌ I am grateful for TIME to declutter and organize our nest! To check off things from our to-do list that had been pushed aside previously and now we have no excuses!
I am grateful for meditations and the way they calm my mind and allow me to refocus in a much more productive, relaxed way!
